Hrachya Harutyunyan

Hrachya Harutyunyan was born in Yerevan on February 14, 1961. From 1979 to 1981, he studied in the circus department of the variety-circus studio attached to the “Hayhamerg” association, receiving the qualification of an artist of the original genre. In 1984, he graduated from the Acting Department of the Yerevan Institute of Fine Arts and Theatre. Since 1978, he has been working at the Hrachya Ghaplanyan Drama Theater in Yerevan as an actor and director. He has staged a number of performances in Yerevan and in the United States, including: “Beatrice”, “The Cylinder”, “Ciao”, “The Mistress of the Inn”, “The Wild Girl 20 Years Later”, “Death in the Italian Style”, “The Last Tango”, “No. 707”, “Love Doesn’t Ask Age”, “Ornifle”, “Ciao”. Television productions: “Kill the Man”, “A Month in the Country”, “In the Elevator”, “Charents’ Correction House”, “Impatient Lovers”, “He and I”, “The Reed Maiden”, “The Victorious Woman”, “The Thorn”, “The Wooden Man”. Films: Ara — “White Dreams”, Abegha — “Old Gods”, Godfather Petros — “The Chronicle of the Cross-Thief”, Rshtuni — “The Abandoned”, Minister — “The Priestess”, Arshak — “Hostages”, “Lord, Have Mercy”, Father — “The Path of the Deer” (20-episode feature film).
